The Oakensoul Ring is one of the most popular Elder Scrolls Online mythics in years thanks to its extremely powerful, yet limiting, effect.

The Oakensoul Ring is perhaps the most infamous Mythic added to Elder Scrolls Online in years. Not only is it an incredibly powerful Mythic item that opens up a viable new playstyle, but it's also one of the most sought-after. One of the Leads actually had to be tweaked to provide an alternative drop location as there were too many players farming it.

This Mythic ESO ring gives almost every buff in the book in exchange for taking away something important to most builds in the game - a backup weapon bar. It's powerful enough to make a simple build with five abilities as powerful as one with lots of interactions between ten, though there is something to be said for the lack of variety.

The Oakensoul Ring is one of the best Mythic Items in Elder Scrolls Online in recent memory. This Mythic Item added with the High Isle Chapter gives players a swathe of bonuses as a tradeoff for taking away access to the backup Weapon bar. The buffs are numerous - Major Berserk, Brutality, Courage, Force, Heroism, Prophecy, Protection, Resolve, Savagery, Sorcery, and Minor Endurance, Fortitude, and Intellect.

Essentially, in exchange for your backup Weapon bar, players get a massive boost to outgoing damage in all forms, a massive boost to defenses and damage reduction, and a massive boost to resource generation and Critical Hit chance. With the Oakensoul Ring equipped, a one-bar ESO build is more viable than ever. In exchange for the simplicity of using only one bar, though, players sacrifice unique interactions between different weapon types and more targeted bonuses that can only be taken advantage of with a secondary bar.

The Oakensoul Ring Mythic Item can only be found by completing a series of Leads, tied to the Antiquity system of the Greymoor Chapter. As Master-level Leads, players must have at least four points in the Antiquarian's Insight perk (which itself requires a Level 7 Scrying skill) in order to be completed.

Each Lead is found in a unique location, so it can take some time to gather them all together, especially when considering there's an element of chance in all locations. Once acquired, Scry the Lead, locate the digsite, and complete the Excavation to add a Fragment to your Collections. Once all five Leads are found, the Oakensoul Ring will automatically assemble and be added to your inventory.
