ODESSA, Texas — The Odessa Police Department is asking the public to avoid the east bound lanes of I-20 near W. Loop 338.

A truck tractor hauling an excavator struck the overpass sometime before 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Crews will be clearing the roadway until further notice.

If you are unable to avoid the area you are asked to be mindful of the crews.
